Join the Conclave with Me

I’m not sleeping well. I wake up, add 7 hours to the time, and pray for the Conclave.

No need to stump in Rome; my prayers and yours move the heart of Him who pours out His Spirit on those who vote.

No political convention this Conclave: I detest the language of conservative and progressive to describe it. This is Church: one Jesus and one people, neither MAGA madness nor reproductive rights on steroids.

Each cardinal faces Judgment, literally, as he places his ballot before the altar of the Sistine Chapel in full view of Michelangelo’s painting ‘The Last Judgment.’

“Jesus, bring Your best to bear on our Church. This papal selection ‘is the human act for which every personal consideration must be set aside, keeping in mind only the God of Jesus Christ and the good of Church and of humanity,’” homilized Cardinal Giovanni Battista to the Conclave.

‘Show favor on us, Jesus, and have pity on all foolishness. Our spirits keep vigil for You’ (Is. 26: 9).

I just awoke from a dream of me running anxiously through a crowded series of rooms where the religious debated; I carried precariously a glass of water containing a wooden crucifix.

‘Jesus, may Your best man for this season embody the Cross, tap the Rock, and release deep drafts of living water upon all You will. May he ‘resolve to know nothing but Christ Crucified…so that our faith wouldn’t rest on human wisdom but on the power of God’ (1 Cor. 2: 2, 5).

My prayers with fasting, were added to all the others, that in this ancient process, a sincere leader would merge forth, to help re-centralize us all onto the eternal, vertical will of Almighty God. Yesterday, when the world was finally and quickly, shown the new Pope Leo the XIV, I wanted to be excited and more hopeful, that this indeed was God's best representative for this our day. However, as I watched ABC News Coverage with David Muir, who was accompanied by Fr. Wach, and Fr. James Martin, S. J , :( who represents the very reason for my being alarmed that more of what was present in Pope Francis will be forth coming. Yet I commit the matter i…

To me, the process needs examining.

How was Matthias chosen to replace Judas: one ballot.

If one isn’t chosen after the first ballet, the conclave needs to realize something is wrong!

Is God indecisive, the electors deaf, or is there no one present whom God prefers as leader? Maybe it’s the latter! I think more time needs to pass in prayer and reflection to understand what is happening and whom God wants, instead of going on and on forcing a decision. A prophetic herald is required, a word of knowledge from the Lord that needs to be weighed, and a call to the faithful to pray and seek God for this most momentous decision!

Wow , that was quite a dream ! I too am anxious but pray the cardinals reflect on the decay in society over the last 25 years and remember the Church , with Gods’s grace , is our only hope to get back on the straight path. They are responsible and culpable for whom they choose to be the next Pope . Come Lord Jesus!

I have also been praying for God's will to be carried out. I can come into full agreement with your 1 Corinthians 2 quote.
